How do I make my own "Alice" Apron? -plus size? - plus size aprons

I saw a model at Wal-Mart apron, cute, but only up to size XL I think ... I need at least a 2x or 3x size. I want to make a costume for Alicia. I've never sewn much earlier, but we have a sewing machine and I know how to use it. I'm not sure whether you are a model, or just to pull me, or how much fabric to buy .. etc. Can anyone help?
